The Rev. David Wilson Rogers, Minister of The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has been serving in Carlsbad over 17 years.
Dave is a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary, with a Master of Divinity degree and is completing a second Master of Communication from Eastern New Mexcico Univeristy. Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Dave now enjoyes calling Carlsbad his true home. Dave is very involved in the Carlsbad community and serves Carlsbad in many ways. With is vibrant personality, his work is both inspiring and challenging.
In Carlsbad, he is known to many as "Preacher Dave" and is frequently asked to EmCee charitable and community events, he is a charity auctioneer, serves on boards such as with the Battered Family Shelter, and the Presbyterian Medical Services Community Advisory Board, and is also active in many Social Justice efforts throughout Carlsbad and New Mexico. Calling on Micah 6:8 as the foundation for his ministry, Dave lives a life of serve to God's Name.
Our Pastor also contributes a weekly Religion Column to the Carlsbad Current Argus that runs every Saturday. (Click here for archive copies) This column has run since July of 2002.
He lives in Carlsbad with his lovely wife, Kimberly. They have five children and 3 grandchildren.
